A stone floor or terrace is only as good as what sits under it and the joints that hold it together. We lay new stone and bring tired paving back — taking up what has failed, sorting the base and the falls, and relaying so it sits flat, drains properly and looks like it belongs to the building.

Where a floor needs underfloor heating, a specialist build-up or waterproofing, we work alongside the trades who do that properly rather than take it on ourselves. The stone is our part.

Common questions
Can you reuse our existing paving?
Often, yes. Old flags are usually worth saving — they have a surface and a colour new stone takes decades to get. We lift, clean and relay what is sound and bring in matched stone only to make up the shortfall.
Why does old paving sink or crack?
Almost always the base or the drainage, not the stone. If water sits under the flags or the falls are wrong, relaying the same stone on a sorted base fixes it for good — which is cheaper than buying new stone twice.
